MeshInstall FAQ
Read the MeshInstall frequently asked questions for specific information not covered by documentation or release notes included with MeshInstall.
What is MeshInstall?
MeshInstall is an easy to use installer creation tool for artists. Unlike most installer products which are designed for installation of software, MeshInstall was created to be easy-to-use, secure and functional without any understanding of programming.
What is pre-release software?
Pre-release software is software that contains known issues and may be unsuitable for production use. You may use pre-release software only at your own risk. The final, released version of the software may substantially change in features and functionality.
How do I get support for MeshInstall?
Visit the MeshInstall
Support Options page for more information.
When will MeshInstall be released?
We will release MeshInstall when it is feature complete and we
determine there are few outstanding issues on the target operating
systems. Software usually goes through stages as follows: pre-alpha,
alpha, beta, final candidate and then release. A beta version is
mostly feature complete. The current version is beta 9.
I want to start building installers now for my customers. Can I buy it now?
You can order and receive a license to MeshInstall while the software is in beta, with the understanding that the final release version of the software may be different from the beta version.
Will there be a Macintosh version of MeshInstall?
MeshInstall currently supports creating MacOS X installers. Because
of a bug originating with MacOS X and not resolved in our development
tool, we have not been able to release MeshInstall for MacOS X -
even though it is possible to create MacOS X installers under MeshInstall
for Windows!
